| Lunches (Bento) | 弁当 |
| At junior high schools at which lunches are not provided, children are generally required to bring a lunch from home. This is referred to as a bento (lunch). When a child can't bring a lunch, they can do several things such as buying bread and other food in the school or a lunch at a special shop that sells bento. However, because rules differ with respect to school policies it is recommended that you consult with the child's teacher. | 中学校で給食のないところでは、家から昼食をもたせることが一般的です。これを「弁当」とよびます。弁当をもたせられない場合は、校内でパンなどを買うか、弁当屋で売っている弁当を買ってもたせるなどの対応がありますが、学校の方針などによってルールが異なりますので先生とよく相談して下さい。 |
