The goal for Global Campus Net(GCN) and future concerns / Global Campus Net(GCN)の目標と今後の課題

　　　The Theme of GCN / GCNの運用上の課題

1) The Organization Structure that Supports GCN Osaka (The Meetings for the Initiative for the Preparation of the Management Organization)	１）GCN Osakaを支える組織体制（運営機構準備会の取り組み）
One issue facing the administrators of GCN Osaka is what to do about the subject of administration. Due to the fact that this project got its start from the involvement of various volunteer groups, supporting businesses, international exchange committees, etc It was thought that an administration group made up of members from such varying structures meetings have been held 3 times by the GCN future administration development team. With this start, the team came to the conclusions as follows. 1. GCN Osaka standards regarding the project as a medium length based term . 2. regulations concerning approval of members . 3. guidelines regarding online misuse and penalties associated with such misconduct . 4. issues concerning privacy, property and copywrite . 5. Others It is necessary for the group to research and consider what the best approach would be for the site for future progress and in what for to make this a realization.	GCN Osakaの運営にあたって、運営主体をどうするのかが一つの課題であった。大阪大学を中心に周辺の自治体国際交流協会、ボランティア団体、支援企業と、産官学の連携体制でスタートしたプロジェクトであるので、このような連携を明確にするような運営主体が必要があると考え、GCN Osaka運営機構準備会を３回にわたって開催している。運営機構が正式にスタートすると、以下のような事項を審議することを想定している。１．GCN Osakaの中長期計画にかかわる事項および基本方針にかかわる事項２．メンバーの資格に関する事項３．オンライン上の不正行為に関するガイドライン策定と罰則規定に関する事項４．知的財産権、著作権、プライバシーにかかわる事項５．その他　運営機構のあり方についても、もっとも望ましい形態を検討していく必要がある。
2) Expansion/renewal of the site	２）利用者のさらなる拡大とサイト・リニューアル
On the 6th of May 2004 after the realization of the site member’s hearings were held, the results of these hearings were that the website was altered the subjects/contents available were modified the use of BBS was introduced for the Multilingual Bulletin Boad System, certified pages were reviewed and extra subjects and information was added. On the 4th of February 2004 a renewal of the site occurred whereby the web design was renewed. Previously the Contents page had been in English and Japanese and many pages were full of text, there were requests for moreillustrations and photographs to be used, it is because of these kinds of feedback that the web site it what it is today.	２００４年５月６日に実験運用を開始した直後から、ログなどから利用状況を確認し、メンバーへのヒアリングも繰り返しおこなってきました。その結果、サイトのページ構成やコンテンツの修正、多言語掲示板BBSの利便性の改善、認証がかかっているページの見直しなど、改善事項が指摘され、これに対応したコンテンツの追加とシステム改善をおこなってきた。２００５年２月４日のサイト・デザインの全面的なリニューアルをおこなったが、コンテンツの表記が日本語と英語の両方になっていることもあり、文字ばかりのページも多く、イラストや写真をもっと使ってほしい、という声もあがっている。こうした利用者の声を少しでも反映させるため、現在、ページ構成とデザインをさらに改修する作業をおこなっている。
