When to call the ambulance / 救急車の利用のしかた
| Calling for Help: Call 119 | 救急車は119 番です。 |

If the person is in serious condition, in emergency, or you do not know what to do, call 119 at once for help. You do not need to pay for the transportation by ambulance although you have the responsibility to pay the medical treatment fee. Therefore, please use ambulance service only in the case of emergency such as traffic accidents or sudden and acute case of illness |
救急車を電話で呼ぶとき重症であったり、緊急の場合、ほかに手段がない場合は、すぐに119に電話し、救急車を呼んでください。搬送料は、かかりません。 (医療費は、自分で支払うようになります) 交通事故や急病など、緊急の場合にのみ利用してください。 |

Please tell the emergency personnel that you are calling for emergency help “KOKO WA............. Desu.” (Here is ...............) Give the address (where you are calling from) ex)KOKO WA ........SI ........MACHI ........TYOUME .......BANCHI DESU. “SOBANI WA......... GA ARIMASU. ” (This is near ...............) Give them special directions of how to find the place more easily. “............. Ga............. Desu.“( Describe what happened.) |
「救急です」。 (火事ではありません) 「ここは............. です」。 (所在地を伝えます) 例), ここは............. 市............. 町............. 丁目............. 番地です。 「そばに............. が、あります」。 (まわりの目印を伝えてください) 「（だれ）が............. です」。 (患者や現場の状況） |

Please describe “how it occurred” and “how serious it is,” if possible.Also, give them the number of the injured and the sick. ex)“Koronde (Atama) WO Uchimashita.”(He fells off and hits his head) “Ishiki Ga Arimasen.” (He / She is unconscious.) “Kega o Shimashita.” (I've got injuries.) “Chi Ga Tomarimasen.” (I can’t stop bleeding). “Kanjyawa Wa .........Nin Desu.”(The number of the injured is.......) Watashiwa....... Desu.” (This is or I am .................) “Dennwabanngouwa...........Desu.” (The number is .....................) Give your name and the phone number from which you are calling. |

| What you should do until help arrives Ask someone who speaks Japanese go to the hospital with you. | 救急車を待っている間に日本語を話せる人がいれば、なるべくいっしょに行ってくれるように頼んでください。 |
